What is Feather Tattooing?

Feather Tattooing is a semi permanent procedure that involves the application of pigment into the outer layers of skin to create hairlike strokes, using very fine needles. There a various techniques that can be preformed based on the desired outcome you desire - these techniques can be discussed in further detail at your consultation.

Is the treatment painful?

No, from the start and through out the treatment, you're skin is numbed allowing clients to feel extremely comfortable from start to finish.

How long will it last?

The treatment can last from 6 months up to 2 years. The length of time will vary from person to person depending on skin type, sun exposure, lifestyle and reaction.

What should I avoid before/after my treatment?

No caffeine / alcohol / aspirins or any form of painkillers 48 hours prior to your appointment. Do not work out the day of your procedure as the body heat will expand pores. Avoid any waxing, tinting or tweezing 72 hours prior to the procedure. Avoid botox / other fillers, chemical peels or laser treatments of the face area four weeks prior to the procedure. Please also inform us if you are taking any supplements, for example fish oil tablets, as these will affect how your treatment will heal. Every client is given a thorough home-care instruction sheet and post-care cream.

Can I get the treatment done while pregnant or recently having injectables?

We do not recommend getting your eyebrows feathered whilst pregnant or breastfeeding due to the anesthetic in the numbing cream we use prior to the procedure. If you are using cosmetic injectables such as Botox and filler, we recommend you allow the area to wear off before your tattoo treatment. Please discuss with your cosmetic nurse the best time to have the procedure done based on the area you have had injected.

Do results vary for different skin types?

Yes, every skin type will retain pigment differently. Oily skin types tend to retain pigment less compared to a normal combination skin type. Oily skin may require more frequent colour boosts as they are likely to fade quicker.

How long will the procedure take?

Treatment times do vary. Allow yourself 2 - 3 hours for your appointment.

Does my initial treatment include a touch up?

Yes. A follow up appointment is included up to 3 months after your initial treatment. We normally advise your touch up to be done between 6-8 weeks after your first treatment. The complimentary touch up can not be used after the 3 month period.

I have had my eyebrows tattooed elsewhere, can I come to you for a touch up?

We don't do one off touch up's on work done by another artist, our brow touch up prices are for existing clients only. Should you wish to have your brows done with us, you will be charged as a New Client.
